Commitment to Caring: More than Precise Drone Image Capture
In many industries around the world, the post-pandemic era is marked by labor shortages and a lack of resources, and we sought to address these problems locally. We started Aerial5 Visual Solutions, LLC, a drone service company based in South Florida, to help public and private sectors integrate safe drone applications into their workflows. By replacing traditional methods to monitor project progress, map land, and inspect assets and structures we saw that our clients were saving time because we could add actionable insights into their workflows with our drone footage. As we began to grow and add value to local companies in roofing, engineering, government, construction and insurance, we realized that by using our drone inspections across industries, we were contributing to a broader purpose: cultivating a commitment to employee safety.
There is no doubt that the drone industry as a whole has penetrated workflows across industries, especially when it comes to inspections. From roof inspections to 3D real-time inspections in mining, drones are becoming the tool of choice for safe, efficient, accurate, and cost-effective inspections and data collection. Incorporating drones for inspections into the workflow has one major benefit: human safety. Companies committed to employee safety through the use of technology will continue to be industry leaders. For instance, working with Jacobs, a global leader in engineering and technology, we align with their Beyond Zero® approach to the health, safety, and security of its people.¹ In the field across the globe, drones are the ideal tool for promoting Beyond Zero®. In South Florida, we help JE's Operations Management Division achieve its commitment to the Beyond Zero approach for a local municipality. Working with the directors, we determined their needs for employee safety, efficiency, and cost-effective procedures to inspect tanks that required employees to climb outside the tanks. Their safety protocol for employees is rigorous, including harnesses and lifts, but we saw that our drone services made it even safer.
With the help of our drone services, we were able to take close-up drone-captured photos of screens, hatches, and bolts, as well as provide the information in a time-stamped report within a few days. Even though JE has its own corporate drone program, it is too costly to deploy drone operators to each of its thousands of locations. By deploying our local drone services, we provide an opportunity to make the Beyond Zero approach available to JE local field inspectors. Beyond Zero is fully realized as tank inspectors do not suffer from physical or mental stress from climbing outside the tanks, which cultivates a more positive work environment that may contribute to positive employee retention.
At Aerial5 Visual Solutions, LLC, we are committed to helping you keep your employees safe. We align ourselves with other companies that value employee safety, efficiency, and innovation. Our commitment to helping our clients develop a culture of transparency and safety with accurate visual data is our mission and our brand promise.
